"The Welcome" has been a pub since at least 1826 and probably for much longer. Probably still better known by the previous name of "Welcome to Town", there is a large upstairs restaurant with the compact pub bar on the ground floor, which leads to both a front terrace with seating, as well as a larger garden area at the rear, where there is both a marque and separate smoking area. Food from a fairly extensive menu is served in all areas.
