This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

There has been a Walshaw Football Team of one kind or another since the 1890’s. In 1965 the village Cricket team and the football team merged and. Walshaw Sports Club was formed. They secured a long lease on the present Sycamore Road ground and the members worked tirelessly to construct the new Clubhouse facilities and create a first- class Cricket & Football venue. The Club has gone from strength to strength and there are now four Senior Football teams and a lady`s, team as well as 14 junior teams with three Senior Cricket teams and six junior teams. Many social events are held throughout the year with a regular feature being the Song Writers Circle on Wednesday night (fortnightly) with different guest artists every time. All in all a great asset to the local community and is very well supported.
