Former 17th century coaching inn, situated on the old A303, but now a quiet road one mile to the east of Wincanton. Wood burning stove and flagstone floor; muddy boots and dogs welcome. Privately owned genuine free house with the landlord very enthusiastic about his large range of traditional ciders. Traditional folk music session in the bar on the first Wednesday evening of each month. Note that on quiet evenings the pub may close early. Wessex Regional Cider pub 2016/2017 and National Cider Pub 2016.
