Traditional village centre pub, busy in evenings.
Characterful old coaching inn, with low-beamed ceilings and seasonal log fires. Its village-centre location makes it convenient for the Shropshire Union Canal and the Staffordshire Way.
Cosy snugs displaying early prints of the district flank the central bar which, unusually for the area, stocks nearly 80 malt whiskies and 20 gins from around the world.
There is a traditional skittle alley upstairs which doubles as a function room and hosts a fun quiz on Sunday evenings. Major Freeview sporting events are shown.
Accessible WCs but not adapted.
