Historic grade-II listed pub adjacent to the Old Market bus interchange and close to Castle Park and the shopping centre. The first floor juts out over the entrance and houses the 'Court Room' which is available for functions. At the rear of the pub there is a 19th-century iron hand water pump operated by a wheel six feet in diameter. A good range of local beers is served and the pub attracts a wide range of customers for drinking, dining and watching live sport on the TVs.
