22/10/22 - Open tonight at almost 23.00; Posts on Facebook indicate it has reopened.

Now closed due to change of landlord was posted on their F/book page on 22/9/22. Closed on Tuesday 11/10 and 12/10 at 10.00pm, blinds lowered, curtains pulled.

Had been operated as an independently run establishment until it was sold by Durham Atkinson in December 2017 and has now reopened as The Seveney, a "botanical bar and dining", no we are not sure either. Their Instagram page shows an interesting range of keg beers but no sign of cask.

A bright, spacious single-roomed bar, plus a heated rear patio.

Local Listing:- Dual render frontage, Essex Road and Mitchison Road. Mitchison Road: Six pilasters, two stallrisers, two boarded up door, two boarded up windows. (All round timber fascia, render dentil cornice).
