A traditional style of public house with welcoming staff and friendly clientele. The L-shaped pub has a warming real fire during the winter months.

There are up to nine real ales on the bar and sometimes real ciders. A variety of cobs, hot pies and pork pies are available throughout the day.

Quizzes are held on Thursdays and a local archery club meets on the adjacent land on Saturdays.
