This Wetherspoon's is the ground floor of the former Blackler's department store which opened in 1908 and finally shut in April 1988 Close to the bus station, Saint John's shopping centre and Liverpool One. It's always busy, but it's a good place to take a break. The Beatles' George Harrison served his electrician apprenticeship at Blackler's.
