Formerly the George, originally dating from Nicholas Barbon's completion of the development of the former York House estate and York Rents in about 1680, this is a Georgian Style brick built public house re-built 1957. It extends over two floors in this alley between Strand and John Adam Street and is promoted on its website as a gay & mixed indie bar, where eccentrics are welcomed. Events include quiz nights, comedy nights, and DJ sessions.
