Retreat is a bar and restaurant set in a converted church that dates back to 1839. Inside there is a variety of booth seating in the restaurant and large mezzanine upstairs and outside there is further seating on the terrace where table service is provided, ideal for warmer days. Food and drinks are served throughout the day and there is also an option to cater for functions and special events. No real ale is served.

Historic Interest

Retreat is located in a refurbished church, which was previously Christ Church, Adlington. It was founded in 1839 and eventually closed in 1975, later being sold to the Sharju Restaurant in approximately 1980.
