An easy to find pub, right on the busy A36, at the very northern edge of the New Forest (West Wellow Common). The pub delights in confusion: the road frontage is small, just a white cottage with a brick extension, yet the pub is enormous; and the main entrance is not through the cottage, but much more safely at the side, from the car park. Inside many connected areas are served from a single L-shaped bar; one arm serving a public bar-like annex including a pool table. The whole being very clean, modern, and comfortably furnished; most probably the result of a refurbishment. The Red Rover is a Greene King Pub & Flame Grill, so expect a choice of pub favourites at cheap prices, with special offers. Quiz night is on Thursdays.
