Red Lion, Peppard Common

The Red Lion reopened on Fri 1 July 2022 @ 12noon - initially for drinks only while they put the finishing touches to their new kitchen. The kitchen opened on Tue 26 July 2022.

The opening times have been updated from the information on the website on 29 July 2023.

The refurbishment has opened up the pub to a single room (from the original three) and the toilets have been replaced.

South Oxfordshire Branch of CAMRA will attempt to update the other information about this pub by the end of September 2023.

Transfer of the Premises Licence Holder & Vary to the DPS [Designated Premises Supervisor] both issued 21 November 2021 to Green Monkey Pub Co LLP (which was incorporated on 22 April 2021 with its registered office at an accommodation address in Witney).

The pub closed on 31 Dec 2019 with the Brakspear pub co looking for new tenants.

Former description: Country pub overlooking Peppard Common and near the location used for the film "Howards End". A large fully enclosed garden of over an acre features a children's play area, play house and football pitch, with a separate beer garden at the front. The interior consists of three cosy rooms (with wood burning stove and open fires) clustered around the central bar.
