The Red Lion has been revitalized under Joule's ownership in that it is now a thriving pub which is much used and appreciated by the community. It has the traditional two roomed layout of public bar and lounge, both of which are clean and well looked after. A part of the bar is given over to pool and darts. The lounge is a comfortable affair. Nicely furnished, with various items of Joule's memorabilia on the walls, including some modern mirror reproductions, and a red lion. Also, the addition of a woodburner is certainly welcome during the dark days of winter. Was once a part of the extensive local estate of the Shrewsbury & Wem Brewery
