17C formerly two cottages. Previous owners include Strongs, Whitbread and Gibbs Mew. In the 80s, when Gibbs Mew used their horse dray for delivery in the city, the stables at the rear of the pub gave bedding to Danny and Dylan, the two shire horses. The pub has two large bars and the lounge is available for private hire. The public bar has a pool table and a darts oche.
