Friendly pub with a welcoming atmosphere, which earns the tag line: No.1 in the High Street. It has served over 940 different real ales and won several local CAMRA awards. Guest beers are updated on social media. Regular events include a quiz, charity days and league darts. This community-oriented venue has a beer garden is outside, and an open fire indoors during winter. Traditional bar games include shove-ha'penny with real ha'pennies. Live music one Sunday afternoon a month and karaoke second Sunday of the month.
