new landlords February 2022

An award winning family-run Victorian pub on the site of an original building dating back to 1809 and serving four ever-changing real ales. Sympathetically refurbished with many Victorian features in its four rooms, with open fires, a Victorian range and a newly restored snug (2019/20).

Near to the town centre, on bus routes and 20 mins from the railway station. A cosy atmosphere and a warm welcome awaits.

Beers: usually Bass plus 3 guests

Sorry no children and no pets.

Local Branch Pub of the Year 2013, 2014 and 2017, runner up East Midlands Pub of the Year 2014, a GBG entry since 2013.
