New bar and bottle shop opened September 2023 serving three mainly local cask ales together with five keg beers, cans, bottles and other drinks too. A small room downstairs accommodates the bar and bottle shop while upstairs there are two small rooms. Current beer selection, together with ABVs and prices, is displayed on the wall behind the bar. Food is not served but pizzas can be ordered from the Italian restaurant opposite for consumption in the pub.

Historic Interest

Grade II listed building. Served as the Town (Council) House from 1835-1851 and the Borough Police Station (1875-1887).
