Large open plan pub attracting passing custom from theatre goers, shoppers and the nearby Cornerhouse. Popular with students due to its proximity to Nottingham Trent University. Pleasant garden to the rear offers a refuge from the busy streets in summer, and plush sofas and retro touches offer a relaxing atmosphere inside. Refurbished and re-opened with a new name in May 2019. Speciality stonebaked pizza's made onsite.

Historic Interest

Originally the Clinton Arms, it became Russells in 1983 before more recently being known as the Orange Tree (Whitworth 2010). Formerly a Shipstones house, it also acted as a commercial hotel and is located in Nottingham City Council's Arboretum Conservation Area. In 1868, the Clinton Arms was a fully licensed establishment under C.T. Baxter (Wright). The Orange Tree has an entry on Nottingham Civic Society's Draft Local Heritage List (09 December 2013).
