Large white building with maroon trim and a fine Pheasant pub sign. Inside is a long bar in an open plan layout with a lounge area to the right and bar to the left. Wooden floors, bench seats and low ceilings give it a rustic feel. Four unused brass hand pumps on the bar. The annual St Georges day parade starts here.

Historic Interest

The Pheasant was registered as an Asset of Community Value on the 13th May 2016 and was nominated by the Nottingham Branch of CAMRA.

In 1876, the Pheasant was a fully licensed establishment under victualler Mrs M.A. Marsden (Post Office Directory). At one time a Shipstone's tied house, the Pheasant almost certainly represents an early 19th century or perhaps earlier rural building surrounded by later urban encroachment. In 1832, the Pheasant is recorded as a beer house in Prospect Place (White).

As at November 2017, the freehold for the Pheasant ( NT347214) was held by TRUST INNS LIMITED (Reg. No. 3011034).
