This pub with it's traditional name is now well established back at the heart of village life after a couple of prolonged periods of closure punctuated by a not so successful reopening, when it was bizarrely renamed "Llanfynydd Lodge". It's a little off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. Most of the clientele are drawn from local village residents or from the extensive surrounding agricultural community. The Pantglas timeshare is nearby, and good value bed & breakfast accommodation is offered in house.

The main bar to the left of the front door is in the oldest part of the much extended building and has a warm, welcoming ambiance.

Historic Interest

The oldest stone-built part of this now much extended pub is believed to date from the 16th century. The large church over the stone bridge opposite the pub dates back to the 12th century.
