Stylish, food-oriented pub which tends to attract a younger clientele, particularly in the evenings. The interior is decorated in a modern style, while outside a pleasant yard features lots of seating and a table-tennis table. Alongside the selection of McMullen's cask ales, a number of the brewery's craft keg offerings are also available. Over 18s only after 6pm.

Historic Interest

A former hotel with a long history, the current pub was built at the end of the 19th century but is thought to have replaced a previous premises on the site. The Peahen's former public bar was sadly closed in the 1990s and has since been converted into shops on London Road.
