A cosy bar at the heart of a large sandstone hotel. Tables carved in the shape of the island of Arran and a boat-shaped bar dispensing fine ales and bonhomie to both locals and visitors alike make this a friendly and popular hostelry. Darts ‘n’ Doms on Monday, Music Quiz on Tuesday, Rock ‘n’ Pop Bingo on Wednesday and a General Knowledge Quiz on Thursday evenings draw in enthusiasts in large numbers. Folk nights and summer discos complete the picture. One ale in winter increases to three during the summer with Arran Blonde now a permanent feature.
