Refurbished in 2015 by chef Matthew Haggett and now has an excellent reputation for fine ales and food. The friendly licensees always make visitors and locals most welcome. The pub is comfortable, with log-burning stoves and traditional oak tables. It supports many local groups who often book most of the rear dining area which is an attractive conservatory overlooking the garden but there is always room for visitors and the service is prompt.
