The main entrance is from the car park to the rear of the pub. It leads down a short corridor into a central lobby area with a small heavily-beamed 'snug-bar' to the right. Straight ahead, on the corner of the historic building, is a spacious bar with pool table and darts board. At the rear is a modern extension which accommodates a dining room. Exposed ceiling timbers throughout and vestiges of inglenook fireplaces add to the enduring ambience. To the rear of the pub is a paved patio with picnic tables, and at the back of the car park is a fenced-off lawned garden, also with picnic tables.

Historic Interest

It is believed that this building was originally a 16th century farmhouse which a one-time resident farmer opened to sell locally brewed ales to supplement his income from the land. It was known as The Crown Inn until renamed in the 1970s and now dubbed by locals as The Thatch.
