Part of the pub was indeed formerly a farmhouse. It is a large building built of brick in Flemish bond, and with a deep roof from which protrude dormers; a single-storey extension is sympathetic but unflattering. One end of the large, L-shaped bar has chest-high tables, tall stools, and a dartboard; the other opens out into a large seating area with several alcoves. The Old Farmhouse is a Hungry Horse, serving food from opening time until not long before closing. There is sports television and monthly live music.
