Freehouse committed to Theakstons for decades, but which provides an additional frequently changing guest. Don't be put off by the occasional pile of shooters' boots outside as they are only interested in birds (feathered) and are otherwise very friendly. The thoughtful positioning of a bus stop outside the pub means that access from York or Thirsk is easy, so there is no excuse not to try this award winning pub.
