As the name suggests was a bank in its previous life. At the Aigburth Vale junction. Planning regulations prohibit external signs. The guest beer is often delivered directly by smaller breweries.

Conversion

Built c.1900 as a branch of the Bank of Liverpool, taken over by Martins Bank in 1918, bought by Barclays in 1969 and closed as a bank in 1999. It became a restaurant before opening as a pub in 2012. It is an imposing corner building with a cupola and inside there is one large area with a raised, gallery-like section. The bar has quality fittings, there is old panelling on one wall, stained glass, a grand ceiling with chandeliers and fine marbled columns, an overall scheme that lets the old decor speak for itself. The pub is Grade II-listed and serves real ales but not food.
