They're slogan proclaims that "We're a train pub not a chain pub" and is located on platform one of the railway station in original station premises. Unfortunately, a view of the beach is usually obscured by a waiting train! A large bar with a raised area offers some seclusion from the busy floor area which has a pool table close to the platform. Not the room for peace and quiet when weekend bands play. The tiny passage to a much quieter room also has seating. This room is decorated with railway memorabilia and has a small bar with three pumps dispensing changing ales. Food is served in the early evenings of Monday, fondly known as Monday Club, but order quickly as once it's gone, that's it.
