Pub and Restaurant.

A comfortable and friendly up-market pub and dining room located opposite the Palace gates. The main feature as you enter is the wrought iron spiral steps up to a dining area (also accessed via normal stairs). Walls are covered with old pictures and the wood floor is partially covered with a number of rugs under the tables. A real log fire in the bar area is lit during colder months. Cask beers change frequently. There is an extensive range of wine, whisky, rum and gin. A comprehensive menu of quality food available that can be consumed either upstairs or around the main bar. Bar bites listed on chalk board. Seating and tables are also provided outside. There are no distracting TV screens to spoil the atmosphere of this popular pub that draws locals and tourists alike. Due to the physical limitations of the building, they cannot accommodate prams or have wheelchair accessible facilities.

Notice: The Mute Swan will be closing for a 'facelift' and will be shut from Monday 30th October and reopening Thursday 2nd November early evening.
