Traditional ale house whose main bar room looks out to the pretty market square (markets Tue and Fri). There’s also a small room to the rear, leading into the yard-cum-garden at the rear. In winter the focal point is the cosy open fire in the bar, while in summertime the café-style seating to the front offers a popular sun trap. Five ever-changing ales, generally featuring unusual breweries. Normally three or more fruit ciders are available.
