This welcoming former Mackeson pub rebuilt in the 1930s is approached through mid-19th century railway arches.

Outside tables overlook Folkestone’s old fishing harbour and the recently revived harbour arm. Just fifty yards away are the “Sunny Sands”, one of Kent’s best bathing beaches.

There is allegedly a ghost of uncertain gender in the cellar.
