** December 2023 Update - The Lock is now under temporary management, kitchen and first floor undergoing refurbishment so no hot food but cobs are available, further updates expected in the new year **

Canal side pub with a large car park and a separate tea room and smoke house on the other side of the lock.

A traditional cosy bar with real fire leads off the central passageway with a lounge to the rear. In the summer the lock-side beer garden is popular with visitors and meals can be eaten outside. Food is cooked on the premises and sourced locally using meats from Bishop's farm. 'Gongoozling' the boats as they pass through the lock is a popular past-time on sunny days.

Bar meals are served lunchtimes and evenings. Bank's Amber Ale and Mild are served along with changing beers from Marston's range.

Access has a low step over the threshold (2"), no adapted WCs.
