Friendly and hospitable pub in the centre of town, patronised by locals and tourists. Interior walls are adorned with photographs of the annual tar barrel procession, an experience in itself, and local landscapes. Late licence at weekends. Allendale's local choir practise here on Tuesday evening, and live Irish music is played on the last Wednesday of each month. With three regular beers and three guests, there is always plenty of choice of local ales. Pub serves home cooked food.
