A sixteenth-century pub which is at the heart of the community and actively supports local charities. It hosts a beer festival in May and another in late August with all profit going to local good causes. An ever-changing selection of four real ales, up to 10 local ciders and good value food is served every day. The public bar is characterised by its low oak beams and a copper-topped bar and there's a peaceful separate dining area. Regular quizzes, games nights, an open mic night on the first Monday of each month, every second Thursday is BYO cheese night and there's a monthly themed food night.
