Frome's first micro-pub serving up to four real ales on hand pump as well as a large range of local ciders. The beers can come from all over the country but are usually from smaller but excellent brewers. In the slower winter months the beer range might be less with restricted opening times.

Formerly a café this simply furnished pub is in the heart of Frome's vibrant St Catherine's District, Just Ales is run by the same team as Just Ales in Wells, the ever present pub dog makes his presence felt. Homemade Biltong is sold as a quick and tasty snack. The landlord allows customers to consume their own food on the premises.

Steep stairs down to very basic toilet in the cellar.
