The pub closed in Jan 2013 and was listed as an Asset of Community Value by Plymouth City Council in April 2013. It reopened after a major refurbishment sent the pub back to the 1970's, with period adverts adorning the walls and keg fonts along the bar and on high shelving. The Dartmoor ales are supplemented by several guest ales. The full pub food menu is served all day from breakfast until late evening, with daily specials also available. Families are welcome, as are dogs. Real coffee is available all day from 0830.
