This small and cosy pub is situated next door to Windsor Castle has just been refurbished by the new licensee and now has serves 4 varied real ales, regularly featuring Hobgoblin, Skinners Cornish Knocker, Brakspear and many national independent breweries. An ale house was recorded on this site in the early 18th century and was originally called The Rose & Crown. The main cellar extends under Castle Hill and was originally a passage leading to the castle, but has long since been blocked.
