A pleasant back street free house, well worth finding at the heart of old St Leonards. The outside gives no clue to the unusual horseshoe-shaped bar, with a separate, narrow, quieter room at the rear. Food is not served in the pub, but there is an adjoining restaurant open Tuesday to Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. There is a minimum of three changing beers, but five ales are often available. A quiet, atmospheric, dog friendly pub where you can enjoy good conversation.
