Named after a local recluse. A large pub with one indoor drinking area and one larger indoor dining area. Extensive garden at the back and an attractive drinking area in front of the pub. Discount offered for CAMRA members.

Named after a hermit who lived in the area and drank at the pub. Mentioned by Dickens in one of his tales.
