After a long period of closure, The Griffin reopened in July 2019 after an extensive refit following a change of ownership. The pub is a large, elegant brick building at the village crossroads, with white painted eaves and window surrounds. Inside, the pub is open plan with wooden floors and modern decor all tastefully furnished. To the left are two small lounge bar areas, whilst to the right there is a lounge area leading to a large restaurant. There is a function room upstairs. Very much a modern, slightly up-market feel to the place and targeting the fine dining experience yet keeping the bar and comfortable drinking areas.

Turner and William Turner in 1876 (Post Office Directories).As at November 2017, the Griffin Inn freehold (NT523501) was held by Griffin Inn Plumtree Limited [Reg. No. 10375101].[Rushcliffe Borough Council; Tollerton Ward / Rushcliffe Parliamentary Constituency]
