Located off the cobbled square in the centre of the village, the comfortable lounge bar welcomes non-residents. A Georgian House it was first converted into a hotel in the early 1900s. The bar is furnished in a grand style with an imposing mahogany bar and large ornate fireplace. There is a separate restaurant but meals are also served in the bar. There are nine en-suite rooms. Outside patio seating looks onto the square, a great place to sit, sip a beer, and watch the bustle of village life.

Historic Interest

The building is a three storey Grade 2 listed building. It is the finest Georgian residence in the town and was built in 1760 by a Mr. Brown who was one of the promoters of the Grassington to Pateley Bridge turnpike road. The Allcock family, bankers in Skipton, lived here for many years.
