This large modern pub was built in 1938 to replace an older pub which dated back before 1776. It is open plan now with a large main bar area and a second section at the rear used as a restaurant, functions or extra seating. There a large screen for live sports coverage, a local darts team [tuesday evenings] and a popular Sunday night quiz. It has a large enclosed child friendly garden with play equipment. Regular live events e,g, music, charity weddings and buffets. Traditional Pub food is served daily 12-9. Watch out for special offers, see website or facebook for up to date menus and events.

Historic Interest

A 1938 rebuilt, replacing an earlier pub dating back pre 1776.
