The bar and cafe reopened in April 2022 in temporary accommodation following a fire which seriously damaged the clubhouse in September 2021. Full reopening is expected for summer 2023.

The open to the public gliding society club house and bar is by the airfield entrance on The Avenue.

Historic Interest

Active World War II airfield and early gliding centre. Some memorabilia on display.
