This lovely little pub opened in July 2015 and soon received acclaim, winning the branch Cider Pub of the Year 2016 and Pub of the Year 2016. There is always a dark beer available. The building dates from 1736 with a past life as a home, shop and off-licence. It has two rooms served by one bar. The decor is rather steam-punk with furniture made from old industrial and farming implements. Two fires, one at each end of the bar, warm the pub in winter. Tasty homemade snacks are available at the bar, but they do sell out fast. Please be aware cash only at the bar.
