The George & Dragon is a family-run pub occupying an enviable position adjacent to the river Teise in the centre of this charming village. The main bar features wooden beams and stripped wooden flooring and there is a separate pool room to the rear. A large room to the right of the bar houses the restaurant which is also available to hire for private functions. Doors from the restaurant lead through to an attractive raised terrace overlooking the river and the rear garden is available in fine weather. Substantial, good-value main meals are served and are supplemented by baguette, sandwiches and jacket potato options. Sunday roasts are offered in different sizes according to appetite including children's portions. Major sporting events are shown on terrestrial TV. Crib nights are held on the first Thursday of the month. Do look out for the photo albums of 'Old Lamberhurst' giving a fascinating glimpse into some of the village history.
