Situated only a 2min walk from town centre, the pub is named after the cinema that once occupied the site opposite. It has a modern interior but with a classic feel and includes a number of brass plaques that were taken from the old Royal Court building. Live sport and background music often feature. Five hand pumps with three real ales always available, and a large range of real ciders. Food is served in the bar from the Thai restaurant above. Traditional board games and darts available. Local CAMRA Pub of the Year 2010 and 2011.

September 2023 report said that only one of the five handpumps was in use, carrying Old Speckled Hen at the time.
