Reopened on 8 June 2023, having been temporarily closed from early September 2022 while Brakspear sought new tenants.

The telephone number, opening and meal times, and real ale choice are from the brief visit on 28 July 2023. The food offering on Sundays is roasts.

This large Brakspear pub stands on Shirburn Street just off the High Street in Watlington. It has a cosy bar, a dining room and accommodation in a converted barn at the rear of the pub.
