Located just in the centre of Bingley adjacent to a large public car park and the River Aire. Formally the "Firepit", and known locally as "The Old Fire Station", this establishment re-opened as "The Engine Room on Aire" in June 2023 and aimed at a different clientele. It is marketed as a "great value community pub". The venue is largely open-plan with the servery to the rear and smaller rooms to one side. The upstairs mezzanine is no longer open to the public. Decking and seating outside includes a smoking area. Numerous television screen shows sports. Live music is often played on Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The pub's Facebook page is frequently updated. The pub staff can be contacted via the "Messenger" app.
