Village community pub alongside the River Trent. Under new ownership in 2016, but the pub ambience has been retained along with the on-site brewery. The three rooms are supplemented with a drinking area and picnic style bench seating on the riverbank. Beers from the house DarkTribe microbrewery are always available, and occasional seasonal beers are also produced. Quiz night on Tuesdays. The pub has a regular, loyal clientele and is very popular with cyclists, walkers, motor enthusiasts and all lovers of the traditional English pub. The kitchen is no longer open on a regular basis, only on special nights which are advertised on the pub's Facebook page..

Though not specially ancient this is a rare example of a Lincolnshire pub that has escaped the most recent round of modernisation. A vernacular brick building with coach houses now blocked off, the central lobby and corridor were opened up in the mid 1960's when the servery was completely rebuilt offering a plywood-faced canted bar counter to each of the two main rooms. There is hatch service to a third room, not currently in use. Exterior lavatories are likely to be incorporated into the pub. This is also the home of the Dark Tribe Brewery, whose programme of alterations have removed the RI status of the pub.
