During August 2023 guest beers from the following have been seen -Marble, Northern Monk, Ossett, Kirkstall and Oakham. So you can see it varies but Yorkshire/Northern Ales seem to be a favourite.

Reopened as The Crown on 22nd June 2023. An addition to the Northern Union operated pubs, a company which has taken previously closed pubs and reinvigorated them, such as the Old White Bear in Hampstead. 4 cask ales on opening night. Food can be brought in in from Chango Empanada next door. The rear garden is a lovely place to sit and relax, currently closes at 9pm.

20/12/22 - A planning application was approved in July to convert the building back to a pub! Listed building consent granted.

Grade II listing:- 3 storey C18 buildings with C19 windows, No 84 and No 86 3. Parapet fronts, No 86 taller. Stock brick with gauged flat window arches. No 84 has early C20 small oriel shop window; and No 86 has a C19 public house front on Ground floor.

Nos 58 to 86 (even) form a group.
